W-L Research focuses on nine
areas of quality. University studies have shown that WL non-dormant alfalfa varieties are
superior in quality as measured by milk, beef and cash hay production. W-L Research has
developed and perfected the highest alfalfa quality by focusing on these nine important
areas:
This commitment to research has resulted in varieties worthy of the W-L name: higher yields, greater pest resistance, improved persistence and higher feed quality than other commercially available varieties. In fact, WL HQ varieties are proven to deliver higher yields and better quality than leading competitors in University trials throughout the United States. W-L has three (3) breeding stations, more than any other company, dedicated to the development of the best dormant varieties possible. Our breeding station in California and nurseries in Argentina are varieties that address the unique stresses and challenges faced by non-dormant varieties.
